Objectives
● To achieve the maximum notoriety of Valladolid in the MICE segment, based on other tourist resources of the city, at a national level among TPOs, IH, DMCs and specialised agencies.
● To promote the image of Valladolid as a MICE destination through its attributes: modern infrastructures and charming venues, experience, professionalism and privileged location.
● Show a destination that is committed to innovation and new technologies in its MICE offer.
● Differentiate Valladolid from the competition through the promotion of its attributes.
● Attracting business from professional groups in the MICE and enogastronomy segments.
● Increase the number and attract new congresses, conventions and incentive events held in Valladolid per year.
Actions implemented
● Creation of a network of contacts with potential clients to develop the promotion and marketing of Valladolid’s MICE product.
● Creation and presentation of candidatures for the organization of events and congresses.
● Organization, coordination and assistance for inspection visits and fam trips to Valladolid.
● Commercial visits to incentive, convention and event companies to present Valladolid’s MICE offer.
● Attendance at the main tourism fairs to hold meetings with agents from the MICE and wine tourism sector, positioning Valladolid among them.
Results
● Business meetings during Valladolid’s participation in the main tourism fairs: FITUR, INTUR, B’TRAVEL, IBTM WORLD, FINE.
● Organization of fam trips and inspection visits with companies from the MICE sector to Valladolid.
● More than 800 new contacts made with companies, DMCs, PCOs and agencies in the MICE sector in Spain.
● A database with 150 contacts from Professional Associations organising congresses in different business sectors.
● More than 1.500 commercial meetings with companies in the meetings, incentives, congresses and events segment.
