Promotion of Bhutan in the Spanish market.
Objectives
● Promote Bhutan in the Spanish market and its participation, for the first time with its own booth, in Fitur 2019.
● Establish new links between Bhutan and the Spanish tourism channel to increase its knowledge of the destination and get its inclusion in catalogues.
● Spread the image of Bhutan as a multi-product, environmentally sustainable destination and the only one with a sustainable carbon footprint.
● Increase the number of tourists and excursionists and their expenditure.
Actions implemented
● Management of public relations with the Spanish media.
● Drafting and distribution of press releases.
● Organization of presentation during Fitur 2019.
● Press clipping with qualitative and quantitative data.
● Agenda of meetings in Madrid with representatives of the tourism sector.
● Generation of content for social networks.
● Advice on planning advertising campaigns and actions.
● Organization of press trips.
● Promote the destination during the UNWTO Regional Conference on Sustainable Development through Tourism held in Thimphu in June, 2019.
Results
● Presence in national, regional and local media to the value of 450,000 euros.
● Generation of 45 meetings with journalists and management of 10 radio and television interviews.
● Presents in 10 new tour operator catalogues and management of 28 meetings with members of the tourism industry during Fitur 2019.
